Kid’s handicraft – Halloween hat

We made a handicraft witch hat for Halloween at the kid’s art class.

What you need

  • Black paper
  • Orange paper
  • Glue
  • Scissor
  • Some straps
  • A compass if you have one

How to make

Cut a black paper to make a half circle and a donut shape.
The half circle becomes hat’s crown and the donut becomes the brim.

If you don’t have a compass, draw circle using a pencil attached to a strap like this.

Cut out a donut shape.

Roll the half circle to make the hat’s crown.

And put the donut on the crown.

Make some slits on the part that is sticking out under the hat.

glue the slits to the brim.

Now, make some ribbons using orange paper.

Make a hole, put a string through it, and tie.

Make some ornament, stars, moon, or anything with the orange paper.

You might wanna make curbed orange ribbon, not a straight line like this.

So these are the works the kids from our class created.

Now we have cute tiny witches!

Let’s go out for trick or treat!
